Dear AIMS Families,
We want to share a quick update and a big thank you for the incredible response over the past few days! Some of the Make-A-Wish New Mexico team came by to pick up the candy donations we've collected so far. They were so grateful for our school's generosity and wanted us know how much it means to the Make-A-Wish families.
That said, they could still use more candy donations for their Trunk-or-Treat event happening tomorrow afternoon. This is our final reminder that tomorrow is the last day to donate! I will personally be delivering any last-minute donations to the event.
As of now, here are the standings for the ice cream party competition:
1. 6th Grade
2. 12th Grade
3. 7th Grade
4. 10th Grade
5. 9th Grade
6. 8th Grade
7. 11th Grade
Students can bring their final donations tomorrow morning and drop them off with their first period teachers.
Thank you all again for your generosity and support, I'm so proud of our school's quick turnaround and the kindness our community continues to show!
Best Regards,
Ms. Mónica
Dear AIMS Families,
Thank you to everyone who has already donated candy for Make-A-Wish New Mexico's Annual Trunk-or-Treat! We've seen more donations come in and are so grateful for the support, but Make-A-Wish is still in great need of candy, and we're not quite where we need to be yet.
AIMS even has a few Make-A-Wish families and siblings within our own community, which makes our participation in this event even more meaningful. Each year, this celebration brings Halloween joy to children facing critical illnesses, and AIMS has proudly been one of the top donors helping make that possible.
Let's keep the generosity going! Here are current rankings for the ice cream party competition:
1. 6th Grade
2. 10th Grade
3. 12th Grade
4. 7th Grade
5. 8th Grade
6. 9th Grade
7. 11th Grade
Every bag helps make the difference, please have your student drop off the donations to their first period class by Wednesday, 10/29.
Let's show Make-A-Wish NM the compassion, generosity, and community spirit that make AIMS so special!
Best Regards,
Mónica

Please note that **morning drop-off will be different on Tuesday, October 28**. The APD station, where we normally have drop-off, will be hosting an event in their parking lot that morning.
For that day only, **morning drop-off will take place in front of the school in the fire lane**.
Afternoon pickup will remain the same and follow our regular procedures.
If you have any questions, please email me at **[mtorrez@aims-unm.org](mailto:mtorrez@aims-unm.org)**.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,
**AIMS Administration**
