Hello Students and Family, We hope your week is off to a great start! We are excited to announce that our Fall Spirit Week is next week, Monday, October 28th through Friday, November 1st. Be creative with your outfits and costumes to show off your school spirit and creativity. Make sure that your outfits are school-appropriate! The limitations for each of the days are as follows: No spaghetti-straps No shorts or skirts that are shorter than your fingertips. No crop-tops No pajamas (onesies are okay for Friday’s theme) No leggings No blood, gore, or costumes of an inappropriate or mature nature. If you are dressing up for spirit week and are unsure if your outfit is appropriate, we would recommend not wearing it. If you are dressing up, it is expected you bring a change of dress code appropriate clothes in case you are asked to change. There will be seniors and staff checking the outfit choices at the front before school. If your outfit is inappropriate, you will be asked to change into the dress code, and if you don't have a change of clothes, you will be given an outfit from the Lost and Found closet. This is meant to be a fun week-long event, don’t be the person who messes it up for the whole school. If you chose not to participate in the spirit days, you must still be in dress code. The Spirit Days are as follows! Monday, October 28th: Twin Day Find a friend to twin with by wearing matching outfits. Tuesday, October 29th: Mathletes vs. Athletes Show your pride for either your nerdy or athletic side by either dressing up as a “mathlete” or an athlete! (e.g. Mathlete: Suspenders, glasses, etc. Athlete: Jersey, sweatband, basketball shorts) Wednesday, October 30th: On Wednesdays We Wear Pink! (Pink Out) Wear as much pink as you can to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness! If our charity fundraiser shirts are in by this day, we highly encourage you to wear these and show your support! Thursday, October 31st: Storybook Costumes In the Halloween spirit, choose any book character to dress up as! (The costume must be from a book and must be appropriate or else you will be asked to change) (e.g. Cat in the Hat, Merida from Brave, etc.). You must show proof of the book you are referencing: the physical book, a photo of the book, or digital proof. Friday, November 1st: Dress Your Age Day Dress as your grade's “age”! 6th and 7th are Toddlers (Please no diapers) 8th and 9th are Teenagers 10th and 11th are Adults 12th and Staff are Senior Citizens We are so excited to see what kind of outfits you come up with. Have a great week and we’ll see you Monday! Your Student Council

Hello Everyone, We hope you are having a great start to your short week! We will be embarking on our annual candy drive for both Make-a-Wish and Westside Community Center. In the past, this drive has been connected to both House Competitions and Service Learning, however, this year, we will be changing things up and making it a GRADE competition! You will be responsible for bringing in candy to be collected in your first-period classroom. All the candy your grade brings will be weighed for a grand total. The grade with the largest weight of candy (divided by the ratio of students in each grade) will be given an ice cream party next month. This competition will begin Wednesday, October 16th, and end Friday, October 25th. Thank you so much for your support and let us know if you have any concerns or questions! Your Student Council

Hello AIMS families, One of our new AIMS parents, David Ward, has agreed to keep a list of parents and guardians who would like to carpool to and from AIMS. If you would like to set up a carpool with another AIMS family in the area, you can send your information to Mr. Ward. He will be keeping a list as a Google Doc and will share the link to that list with any interested families. Only those authorized to see the document will be able to open the link. This will function only as a directory and it will be up to each family to make the arrangements with other families and to address any concerns about the arrangements. If you are interested, please send your closest major cross streets, your phone number, when you are available to drive, and your email to Mr. Ward at david.ward@gmail.com. Although the document will only be accessible to those on the list, out of an abundance of caution, Mr. Ward will be posting nearest intersections rather than specific addresses. AIMS Administration
